Romance of Thieves is a collective of musicians led by former The St. Valentinez singer-songwriter, Nicky Martin, sporting members from the United States, Central America, Europe, and Asia. Romance of Thieves began as Martin’s solo project but has since expanded into something of a supergroup, having featured numerous musicians who have established themselves either as solo artists (rappers De’Andre and EaSWay) or with other bands (members of Handshake, Souled Out, Analog Days, and The St. Valentinez have been part of Romance).  The group’s debut single, “Luvn It,” has sold 1200+ copies, and received attention from numerous online publications and music blogs, including, but not limited to, SF Rebirth, Filthy Slaps, ThisSongIsSick, NewJams.net, and HotNewHipHop.com. Martin has also been awarded “Most Outstanding Musician Under 14” by Stanford Jazz 2008, “Upcoming Pop Sensation” by Wesley Sims of YouthRadio, Voice of the Valley Top 8 finalist, 105.1 R&B Superstar Search Top 20 finalist, and is currently in the callback auditioning process for NBC’s The Voice. Romance is a current finalist in Gorilla Music’s Battle of the Bands at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA.
